Let's be honest, the new SpiritHood that I am looking forward to most this season is the white tiger. They are just so beautiful!
Check out this rare white Indian tiger cub with it's momma in the Liberec Zoo in Czech Republic. Did you know that the white tiger gets its coloring from a defective recessive gene that is passed on from its parents? These tigers are especially rare in the wild.
In the Spring 2013 SpiritHoods Collection, you can expect to see lots of new animals that you will flip over, light weight terry cloth hoods for beach and festivals, and more HB3 hoods for kids and adults. It's going to be rad. Get excited!
December 1 is SpiritHoods second ProBlue Day! And the SpiritHood of the day is the Snow Leopard! On the 1st of each month, SpiritHoods will be selecting a different ProBlue animal and will donate 100% of profits to their ProBlue non-profit organization. TOMORROW, December 1, 2012, is Snow Leopard Hood Day and 100% of net profits from all Snow Leopard SpiritHoods sold will go to the Snow Leopard Conservancy!

In honor of the new Peta Bunny collaboration SpiritHood, I wanted to share one of my favorite Meatless Monday meals with you and introduce you to my friend, Chef AJ!
If you are unfamiliar, Meatless Mondays are about starting each week with healthy, environmentally friendly meat-free alternatives. By cutting out meat once a week, we can improve our health, reduce our carbon footprint and lead the world in the race to reduce climate change.
Last week I had the pleasure of attending a cooking class by one of my favorite vegan chefs, Chef AJ. Her cookbook, Unprocessed, is one of my favorites! Not only are her recipes cruelty-free, but they are also so healthy! No sugar, no salt, no oil.... just pure deliciousness! And guess what... Chef AJ also likes to get hoodie with it!! Chef AJ's Lentil Tacos are the perfect way to begin an busy week! So easy and so yummy! This recipe comes from here book, Unprocessed. For more delicious healthy vegan recipes, check out her book and website www.eatunprocessed.comLentil TacosIngredients:1 cup chopped onion1 garlic clove, minced1 cup dry lentils, rinsed1 tablespoon chili powder2 teaspoons ground cumin1 teaspoon oregano14 ounces water1 cup salt-free salsaSalt-free seasoning, to tasteMethod:Put everything in a crock pot and cook on high for 8 - 12 hours, stirring occasionally and adding water as needed. This taco filling can be used anywhere you would normally use a meat taco filling, such as in taco shells and on salads.

The Get In My Hood Polar Bear Appreciation Week has been a lot of fun! I've really enjoyed sharing information about polar bears with you and seeing how far that information has been spread each day! Thank you to all of you who have participated in this fun and informative week about polar bears! I hope that we have accomplished our goal of getting information out there about these wonderful and endangered animals. I also hope that this information has inspired people to think of ways in which they can help!
